K4CF “CLEATS 4 KIDS” PROGRAM

The Kicking 4 Celiac Foundation has broadened its area of work across the country, announcing the “Cleats 4 Kids” program that will collect soccer cleats for both boys and girls and donate them to various recreation centers in different areas. During the first year of this program, cleats will be collected and donated to various underserved areas of New York and Los Angeles. Kicking 4 Celiac Executive Director Craig Pinto developed the program to give children in less fortunate areas the opportunity to play the sport without any worry of not being able to afford the proper footwear. “When I was at my lowest, sports always gave me an outlet to forget about reality for a while and enjoy time on the field with teammates, playing football and soccer, the sports I love”, Pinto says. The Foundation will collect soccer cleats, new and used, as long as they are not torn, and will be packaging and shipping them out to those various recreation centers.
The Foundation has received large amounts of press over the last year, stemming from both Guinness World Record events, and with the founding of the Foundation itself. Gaining notoriety and support from different areas has given the Foundation the desire to give back, while keeping children active, and of course raising awareness and educating that population about Celiac Disease. Both New York and Los Angeles have been instrumental to the development of the foundation, and the Kicking 4 Celiac Foundation has identified various youth groups and organizations that they will donate this equipment to.
Anyone interested in donating cleats can email info@kicking4celiac.org to have one of our Board Members pick up the donation, or ship them to the Foundation’s main office at:
