The Kicking 4 Celiac Foundation has announced a new “Cleats 4 Kids” program that will collect soccer cleats for both boys and girls and donate them to various recreation centers and organizations in need, in different areas throughout the country. Currently in it’s early stages, cleats have been collected and donated to various underserved areas of New York and Los Angeles. Kicking 4 Celiac Director Craig Pinto developed the program to give children in less fortunate areas the opportunity to play sports without any worry of being able to afford the proper footwear. The Foundation will collect soccer cleats, new and lightly used, and will be packaging and shipping them out.

“The purpose of this is to keep children active, and to help them continue to live an enjoyable and happy lifestyle. Exercise, as well as proper nutrition and education is so important, and I want to help strengthen that ideal within the recipients of these donations”, said Craig.

Each organization that receives these items not only will get some great equipment to enjoy, but will also learn about nutrition, proper eating, as well as living healthy through our guest speaking engagements with them.

To date, the Kicking 4 Celiac Foundation has supplied cleats through this program to the Roosevelt PAL, Parents of Watts, People for Parks/One Watts Unido, and Children’s Institute, Inc.

Anyone interested in donating cleats can email to have one of our Board Members pick up the donation, or ship them to the Foundation’s main office at:
